CATARACT FELLOWSHIP
DURATION: 1 YEAR AND 6 MONTHS
At Altino Ventura Foundation's Cataract fellowship, the doctor will be involved in the following activities (among others):
Patient care at the cataract center
Congenital cataract surgery Training
Weekly clinical meetings with the anterior segment department
Routine and challenging cataract surgeries
Resident Surgical tutoring
Opportunity to get involved in research in the Cataract center
Eyesi surgical simulator training
Surgical training at HOPE (including premium lenses and femtosecond laser)
Urgent Care
Equipments available to participants in the Cataract Fellowship:
Ngenuity
Constellation
Topcon microscopes
Eyesi surgical simulator
Megatron phacoemulsifier
IOLMaster 500
ATLAS Corneal Topography System
And other tests that are important in the preoperative period (e.g. specular microscopy, OCT imaging of the macula, Ultrasound Biomicroscopy, ultrasound, etc.)
Attendance in all Clinical Case Studies and events promoted by FAV and HOPE is mandatory
